Are you looking for a rewarding career supporting children and transforming lives?
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Qualified Teacher (QTS) to join our growing team at New Roots Care & Education, supporting our primary learners with SEND and challenging behaviours.
This is more than a teaching role — it's an opportunity to inspire, engage and empower young people who may have had limited or disrupted access to education.
The Role
Based on-site at our beautiful New Roots Care & Education campus, you will deliver the National Curriculum across a range of subjects from EYFS to KS2, adapting lessons to meet the diverse needs of our learners.
You will work with small classes of up to 12 pupils, supported by a team of skilled Teaching Assistants. Your focus will be to create a positive, nurturing learning environment that promotes academic growth, emotional resilience, and personal development.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Planning, delivering, and evaluating engaging lessons tailored to individual needs.
* Supporting learners to achieve their EHCP and IEP targets.
* Working collaboratively with senior leaders to ensure high-quality curriculum delivery.
* Providing pastoral support and fostering a sense of belonging and self-worth.
What We're Looking For
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
* Previous experience working in a school environment.
* Proven success supporting children with SEND and/or challenging behaviours.
* The ability to make learning fun, engaging, and meaningful.
* Excellent communication, teamwork, and classroom management skills.
* A proactive, flexible approach and a genuine passion for helping young people succeed.
Applicants are encouraged to visit our setting before applying to experience first-hand our ethos and approach to education.
