The Role: School Receptionist Are you highly organised, proactive, and committed to supporting staff. students, parents and visitors at the highest level? We are looking for a dedicated professional to join our team at Moreton School as School Receptionist—someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and understands the importance of excellence both front facing and behind the scenes. Key Responsibilities: • To manage a busy Reception desk • To welcome and deal with all pupil, parent/carer and visitor enquiries in a warm and professional manner. • Answer telephone enquiries ensuring an effective service is provided by either filtering the calls, passing the enquiry to an appropriate member of staff or by dealing with requests for information • To provide a high standard of customer service in all dealings with stakeholders • Provide general administrative support across the Academy. This role has been assessed as working in regulated activity and is subject to an Enhanced DBS plus Children’s Barred List Check. It is an offence to apply for this role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (2013 and 2020). This means that certain convictions and cautions are considered ‘protected’ and do not need to be disclosed to employers, and if they are disclosed, employers cannot take them into account. Guidance about whether a conviction or caution should be disclosed can be found on the Ministry of Justice website: Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (2020) Positions at the school are exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to a post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
