Eton Bridge Partners are supporting a PE-backed, international strategy consultancy in the search for a Head of Commercial to join the business at a pivotal stage of growth.
As the business continues to scale, there is a need to formalise and strengthen its commercial infrastructure to support both organic growth and M&A integration. This is a newly created role with a mandate to build and embed a best-in-class commercial framework across pricing, contracting, and deal governance.
The Role
Reporting directly to the CFO, the Commercial Affairs Lead will sit at the centre of the organisation’s commercial engine, partnering closely with senior leadership, delivery teams, and sales in a seller‑doer model.
This is a high-impact role offering:
* Direct exposure to senior leadership and strategic decision‑making
* Ownership of a critical function ahead of a likely PE exit
* The opportunity to build and shape commercial infrastructure from the ground up
* Involvement in complex, high‑value global client engagements
Key responsibilities will include:
* Establishing clear commercial guardrails across pricing, discounting, and contractual terms
* Developing and implementing a robust contracting strategy and approval framework
* Building scalable processes and governance for client contracting and pricing
* Supporting complex client negotiations and procurement interactions
* Driving margin improvement and reducing revenue leakage across engagements
* Enhancing pricing strategy through data, win/loss analysis, and commercial insight
* Supporting integration of acquired businesses into a unified commercial framework
Candidate Profile
* A strong understanding of professional services or consulting business models
* Experience in pricing, commercial strategy, deal support, or client negotiations
* A solid financial or analytical foundation, with the ability to understand deal economics and margin drivers
* Experience operating in complex, client‑facing environments with procurement exposure
* The ability to influence senior stakeholders and operate with autonomy
