Mechanical Building Services Engineer
£17.00 PAYE — Ongoing temporary contract
Responsibilities
* Responding to reactive maintenance calls across the hospital (leaks, temperature issues, no water, toilets not flushing)
* Mechanical plant maintenance: AHUs, pumps, HVAC, steam/condensate, medical gas systems, TMV maintenance, basic electrical lamping where required
* Supporting PPM tasks where capacity allows
* Working within a site-based team and escalating to senior engineers when required
* Confident with: HVAC / AHUs; Pumps & valves; TMVs; Basic plumbing; Basic first‑fix electrical (lamp changes)
Requirements
* NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a mechanical discipline (Plumbing, Mechanical Maintenance, HVAC, etc.)
* Able to work independently on nights without immediate supervision
* Basic DBS
