We’re recruiting a Project Manager to join a well-established UK engineering business delivering high-security physical access solutions (e.g., gates, barriers and access control systems).
This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role suited to someone with an electro-mechanical background who enjoys problem-solving, coordinating multiple stakeholders, and seeing projects through from start to finish.
The role is predominantly based from the Epping offices and remotely, however some travel to client sites is required.
Key Tasks and Duties
You’ll take ownership of projects from initiation through completion, ensuring time, cost, quality and safety expectations are met.
* Agreeing project objectives, scope and delivery plans
* Representing client and organisational interests throughout delivery
* Coordinating internal teams, specialist partners and sub-contractors
* Managing risk assessments and ensuring compliance with guidelines
* Tracking progress via IT systems and reporting updates to stakeholders
* Overseeing project costing, billing and commercial administration
* Ensuring quality standards are achieved and targets are met
* Capturing lessons learned and sharing best practice across projects
* Bringing a proactive, “can-do” approach and taking ownership of issues
What we’re looking
* The ideal candidate will have worked as a Project Manager within electromechanical type engineering / manufacturing environments.
* Ability to keep momentum on multiple workstreams, communicate clearly with customers and colleagues, and step in early to remove blockers.
* You will be organised, practical, and confident working in an engineering environment
* Someone who enjoys owning delivery and keeping projects moving (planning, prioritising and chasing actions)
* Can build credibility with engineers, subcontractors and clients thanks to a strong technical mindset
* Is comfortable making decisions and finding solutions under pressure
* Pays attention to detail — especially around quality, documentation, and compliance

* £40,000 – £47,000 salary (depending on experience)
