Monaghan - €65,000 – €80,000 Accommodation Assistance The Job: We are recruiting for an experienced and motivated Hatchery Manager to lead the day to day operations of a modern hatchery facility in Co. Monaghan. This is a key leadership role responsible for managing all hatchery activities from egg receiving through incubation, hatching and dispatch of high quality day old ducklings to growing farms. The successful candidate will drive operational performance while maintaining the highest standards of animal welfare, biosecurity, quality and efficiency and will lead and develop a dedicated hatchery team. You will play a critical role in supporting the continued success and growth of the business by ensuring optimum hatchability, productivity and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee end to end hatchery operations, including egg intake, incubation planning, hatching programmes and dispatch of day old ducklings - Lead, develop and organise hatchery teams, setting daily workloads, driving performance and embedding a culture of accountability and continuous improvement - Monitor and optimise hatchery performance against KPIs, ensuring production targets, hatchability rates and quality standards are consistently achieved - Ensure full compliance with biosecurity, animal welfare and company quality standards, while maintaining accurate records, reporting and performance analysis - Manage equipment performance and maintenance planning, liaise with breeder farms and internal stakeholders and support cost control and operational improvement initiatives The Company: Our client operates a leading hatchery facility within the commercial poultry sector, producing high quality ducklings for supply to integrated farming operations.
