We are seeking a passionate and versatile Music Teacher to teach across KS3–KS5 in a highly creative and student-centred independent school near Totnes. This is a full-time, permanent position beginning in September. The role includes classroom teaching, directing ensembles, preparing students for music exams, and taking a leading role in concerts and musical productions.
The successful Music Teacher will work in an inclusive and forward-thinking department with its own performance space, practice rooms, and technology suite. The school has a vibrant musical calendar including concerts, showcases, and partnerships with local musicians. The right candidate will be enthusiastic, imaginative, and committed to promoting music across all year groups.
Experience and Qualifications
• Music degree and QTS (or equivalent)
• Experience teaching Music across at least KS3–KS4, ideally KS5
• Able to accompany on piano and direct student ensembles
• Commitment to delivering high-quality performance and classroom experiences
• Right to work in the UK
