This Student Teaching Assistant role is ideal for university students, recent college leavers, or individuals looking to gain practical school-based experience before progressing into a career in education.
The successful Student Teaching Assistant will work closely with teachers to support pupils in the classroom and help create a positive learning environment. As a Student Teaching Assistant, you will provide classroom support, work with pupils in small groups and help maintain pupil engagement throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities of the Student Teaching Assistant:
* Supporting teaching and learning across the classroom.
* Working with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
* Assisting with lesson preparation and classroom organisation.
* Promoting positive behaviour and classroom engagement.
* Supporting pupils with additional learning needs where required.
* Helping to maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
The Ideal Student Teaching Assistant Will:
* Be interested in gaining experience within education.
* Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Be proactive, adaptable and enthusiastic.
* Be confident working with children or young people.
* Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply).
* Have a fully checkable work history.
