Support Worker- Day Service
Location: Stirling
Contract Type: Permanent- Full Time
Hours: 37.5 per week- Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
Salary: £13.25 per hour

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Deliver and support a range of therapeutic, creative, and practical daytime activities.
*
Plan and lead sessions that develop individual skills and interests.
*
Contribute to assessment, planning, and review of support plans.
*
Provide personal care with dignity and respect when needed.
*
Keep accurate records of progress, engagement, and attendance.
*
Promote health and safety and respond appropriately to concerns.
*
Support cultural and seasonal events and rhythms within the service.
*
Assist in lunch/rest periods and occasional off-site activities (e.g. swimming, outings).
*
Flexibly support other tasks within the service and wider community when required.
Essential Skills and Attributes:
*
Experience delivering or supporting structured day activities.
*
Willingness to assist with personal care when necessary.
*
Confident using or teaching tools and equipment for sessions.
*
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
*
Creative, empathetic, and proactive in supporting others.
*
Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
*
Organised, adaptable, and quick to learn new skills and routines.
*
Committed to values-based, person-centred care.
Desirable:
*
Experience working with people with complex needs or challenging behaviours.
*
Training in safety interventions or sensory environments.
*
Vocational or social care qualification (e.g. SVQ Level 2 or higher), or willingness to work towards one.
*
Familiarity with health and social care standards and relevant regulations.
*
Interest or experience in therapeutic, creative, or craft-based activities.
