An investor-backed, UK-based digital marketing group is seeking a commercially minded Chief Financial Officer to support the next phase of the company’s growth journey. With fresh leadership under a newly appointed Managing Director and strong backing from a leading institutional investor, the group is well-positioned to scale.
Reporting to the Managing Director, the CFO will lead all aspects of finance and compliance, develop and strengthen the finance team, and play a key role in shaping commercial strategy and enabling future growth.
Key responsibilities include:
* Driving budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning in close partnership with the MD
* Managing investor and lender relationships, including covenant reporting
* Providing insight on performance, profitability, and operational efficiency
* Delivering timely internal reporting, commercial analysis and lender updates
* Overseeing statutory reporting, audit processes, and tax compliance (UK GAAP / IFRS)
* Leading financial governance, reporting and risk management across the group
* Managing cash flow and treasury forecasting
* Leading and developing a small, high-performing finance team
* Overseeing company secretarial duties and group-wide regulatory compliance
The ideal candidate:
* A qualified accountant with senior finance leadership experience, ideally within B2B technology-led or data-focused sectors
* Commercially strong, hands-on, and comfortable operating in an entrepreneurial SME setting
* Previous exposure to alternative investment-backed environments, with board-level experience
* Capable of providing strategic and operational finance support in a dynamic, evolving business
* Motivated to work 3 or 4 days per week, subject to requirements
