With new leadership, a clear vision, an ambitious technology roadmap and a new operating model, we are gearing up to drive some of the biggest technology initiatives in Softcat's history. As Engineering Manager, you'll be responsible for:
* Line manage and motivate a team of software engineers and developers
* Delegate and oversee development tasks, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery
* Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance team culture
* Provide regular feedback, coaching, and career development support
* Develop an effective working relationship with members of the wider IT teams, ensuring efficient support of business priorities
We'd love you to have:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
* 5+ years of software development experience, with 2+ years in a leadership/management role
* Proficiency in .NET Core, C# and SQL
* Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, DevOps)
* Experience of working and leading in an Agile/squad environment
* Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), and version control (Git)
