Shift Pattern: 06:00 - 14:30 Monday to Friday (with the requirement for flexibility)

About the role
We are looking for a motivated Stock Control Operative with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to organisation and stock management.
In this role, you will be responsible for controlling and recording the movement, quality, and storage of raw materials and ingredients across our pickled department. You will play a key role in ensuring stock accuracy, maintaining traceability, and supporting smooth production operations.

Key Responsibilities:
Receive and book in raw materials and ingredients using internal systems.
Carry out quality checks on incoming goods and report any issues.
Complete required intake documentation and records.
Manage stock rotation and controlled movement of materials across department.
Issue stock to production in line with plans and requirements.
Support defrosting, decanting, and material supply to production lines.
Respond to and escalate stock-related issues promptly.
Carry out regular stock counts (daily/weekly/monthly).
Maintain accurate stock records within systems.
Support investigations into stock discrepancies.
Ensure all materials are correctly labelled and stored.
Monitor chill temperatures and report any issues.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping in storage areas.
Support production teams as required.
Assist with NPD sample requests.
Complete documentation including concession logs and disposal records.
Support audits and on-the-job training of colleagues.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
Has strong attention to detail and accuracy
Takes a proactive and organised approach to their work
Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively
Can manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Is reliable, flexible, and willing to support across departments
Is confident using IT systems and basic Microsoft Office tools
You will ideally bring:
Understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and food hygiene standards
Awareness of food safety requirements (HACCP, allergens, traceability)
Good numerical and problem-solving skills
Experience handling stock, materials, or working in a production environment
Food Hygiene Level 2 and Health & Safety Level 2 (or equivalent)
