Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are working with a leading civil engineering contractor within the water sector who have secured a strong pipeline of AMP8 projects across the West Midlands. With works starting imminently, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of these schemes.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role within a growing commercial team on long-term infrastructure projects.
The Role
* Manage commercial activities across projects, ensuring compliance with contract requirements
* Administer contracts, including issuing notices, managing correspondence, and mitigating risk
* Prepare and agree applications for payment and oversee valuation processes
* Maintain records of variations, delays, extensions of time, and claims
* Produce cost reports, forecasts, and commercial updates
* Monitor project budgets and implement effective cost control and change management
* Manage supply chain procurement, including tendering, negotiation, and contract administration
* Liaise with clients, site teams, and supply chain to ensure smooth commercial delivery
* Provide commercial and contractual advice to project teams
* Support value management and identify risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager within civil engineering
* Background within the water sector and AMP frameworks (preferred)
* Strong commercial and financial awareness with a proven track record of delivery
* Good working knowledge of construction contracts (e.g. NEC / JCT)
* Experience managing variations, claims, and commercial reporting
* Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
* Methodical, detail-oriented, and analytically strong
* Degree-qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
