We are currently working in partnership with Bristol based Charity, who are recruiting for an Assistant Financial Accountant on a full time, permanent contract. The salary for this role is up to c.£33,500, dependent on experience and a hybrid working pattern of 2/3 days per week in the office is available.
The ideal candidate will some experience in a similar role and have a good understanding of reconciliations, balance sheets, VAT and Fixed Asset Registers.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
1. Completing bank and balance sheet reconciliations
2. Managing the fixed asset register, including additions, disposals, depreciations and forecasts
3. Producing month end adjustments and regulatory financial submissions
4. Forecasting cash flow - short and long term
5. Producing VAT returns and annual business use calculations
6. Assisting with the production of year end accounts and information for auditors
7. Supporting the wider finance team in areas such as payroll etc when required
Experience required:
8. Previous finance roles with exposure to the above duties
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
9. AAT Level 3
