What we are looking for:
* QTS with recent KS2 teaching experience, preferably with Year 5 experience
* Ability to plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that challenge and inspire pupils
* High expectations for behaviour, attainment, and personal development
* Strong relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues
* Collaborative, reflective, and organised approach with a willingness to contribute to whole-school initiatives
* Passion for promoting learning beyond the classroom through creative activities, enrichment, and community engagement
Key responsibilities:
* Teach a Year 5 class full-time, fostering curiosity, independence, and a love of learning
* Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND
* Track pupil progress effectively and use assessment to inform next steps in learning
* Support and contribute to the wider school curriculum and initiatives, including cross-curricular projects and extra-curricular opportunities
* Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes wellbeing, confidence, and resilience
* Engage with parents and carers to build strong partnerships supporting pupils’ learning and development
