Job Summary
As an Assistant Streetscene Operative you will work as part of a Team to support the effective delivery of day-to-day Streetscene maintenance operations.
Responsibilities
* You will carry out a range of Streetscene duties to maintain a clean, safe and green environment throughout the borough.
* You will provide exceptional customer service, be equipped at dealing with a range of customers, and be the 'eyes and ears' of the Council when working in the borough.
* You will lead by example in supporting the service and actively seek ways of improvement and support with suggestions for new ways of working and embracing change.
* You will have the knowledge, skills and experience in an operational Streetscene organisation or similar environment, including working knowledge of Health and Safety requirements appropriate to the role.
* You will demonstrate the ability to work flexibly, in line with service demands, working evenings and weekends when required.
* You will be able to communicate well with colleagues and members of the public and work as part of a team.
* You will have experience operating a range of plant and machinery including the full range of grass cutting equipment & powered hand tools appropriate to the role.
* You will have the ability to obtain a ROSPA approved playground safety inspection qualification or the ability to demonstrate adequate knowledge and experience.
