We are now looking to employ a Driver/FSS Operator for our site in Luton, on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is an incredibly varied role, offering the chance to travel to a range of beautiful locations across the area whilst adding value to the UK farming industry.
The role will include driving to a variety of farms to process farm saved seed via our mobile machinery systems. A typical day will involve driving to a mixture of farms in rural locations across the Bedfordshire area, meeting and interacting with a range of farmers & customers, preparing, maintaining and running machinery and taking on ad-hoc duties as and when required, either at our Hixon site, or on farms. Additional duties may include, but are not limited to, general workshop duties, spraying and possible welding.
This role is perfect for someone who is looking to work in a variety of scenic locations within a rewarding and important industry.
The successful candidate may be required to travel to some locations a little further afoot, in these instances accommodation, food and travel is subsidized.
Key requirements:
* Candidates applying must have some form of work experience within the Agriculture / Farming environment.
* Engineering experience, or experience working with plant machinery is essential.
* All relevant qualifications such as HGV, PA1 & PA11 will be an advantage but can also be acquired during the training period.
Pay is DOE. This position comes with a bonus structure as well as overtime.
