SEN Teacher – Specialist Autism Provision
Location: Durham
Salary: £140–£210 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time, Long-Term
Start Date: Immediate or September 2026

We’re working with a well-established SEN provision in Durham supporting pupils with Autism and associated communication needs. This is a nurturing, structured environment with small class sizes and a strong multi-disciplinary team.
What you’ll be doing:
* Teaching a small class of pupils with Autism, using adapted and personalised learning plans
* Creating a calm, predictable classroom environment
* Working closely with TAs, therapists, and the SENCO
* Supporting pupils with social communication and emotional regulation
* Celebrating progress, however big or small
Whether you’re an experienced SEN teacher or an ECT with a genuine passion for inclusive practice, this school will support you properly. You won’t be left to figure things out alone.
