Our client requires an experienced Management Accountant to cover maternity leave for a 6-month fixed term contract. Working in this industry leading import/export distribution business, you will provide financial support to the business on a part-time basis, with hybrid working available.
The Role:
You will be working in a dynamic, open-plan office environment, supporting a variety of finance activities with a focus on precision and effective time management. This is a hands-on role suited for someone with proven management accounting experience who enjoys working independently.
Key Responsibilities:
* Bank reconciliations
* Posting purchase invoices
* Managing prepaid purchases and currency payments
* Month-end ledger closures
* Accruals and prepayments journals
* Depreciation and asset management
* Month-end ad hoc journals and tasks
* Producing monthly management accounts
* Handling telephone and email queries
Key Skills:
* Previous experience in a Management Accountant or similar role
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Logical, common-sense approach to work
Work arrangements:
* Flexible hybrid working (minimum 2 days in the office)
* Hours tailored based on experience
* Currently covered on a 30-hour per week schedule
