Job Requirements: Responsible for completing planned, preventative and reactive maintenance tasks and improvement work using effective problem-solving and trouble shooting as directed by the Project and Improvement Engineer. To provide feedback on completed tasks, root cause and follow-up work. Rotational shifts-3 x 12hr shifts per week (Monday-Saturday) Responsibilities: Attend breakdowns and ensure downtime is kept to a minimum Undertake planned maintenance in accordance with the agreed schedule Monitor and record downtime for improvement purposes Perform basic troubleshooting of control systems circuitry Enter accurate, detailed feedback on all ongoing and completed tasks into the planned maintenance system system on a daily basis. Identify and source / obtain required parts, supplies and repair items as required Maintain equipment and repair / replace as required Qualifications/ Experience: · At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment – preferably within a textile / similar environment · Formal apprenticeship or equivalent in relevant field (electrical or mechanical) e.g. HND/HNC · C&G 17th Edition qualification / equivalent mechanical qualification · Multi-skilled · Ability to analyse and solve complex problems · Flexible in approach and attitude to work · Ability to work effectively in a team and on own initiative · Excellent communications skills · Competent IT skills including outlook, windows and excel If you are interested in being part of a world class function here at Alkegen then we would love to hear from you.
