Police Officer - PCEP
Description: A two-year entry programme that doesn’t require you to study for a degree during your probation. The PCEP training focuses on practical on-the-job learning, with classroom-based learning at the initial stages. You will spend most of your training and probation on the frontline with experienced officers supporting your development into a fully competent police officer.

Qualification following completion: None
Detective route: No, this is not a detective route. After initial training and becoming a qualified police officer, you can apply for internal detective pathways.
Training: In-house training delivered through classroom sessions and on-the-job practical learning.

About The Police Constable Entry Programme
This two-year scheme is designed for those who want to become a Police Constable through a vocational route without studying for a degree. It includes 22 weeks of initial training at Tally Ho! Training Centre, followed by operational coaching within the force. Opportunities for advancement include specialized units like Firearms, Dogs, Investigations, Drones, or Roads Policing.

Eligibility Requirements
* Level 2 English qualification (Grade C/4 or above)
* Level 3 qualification or equivalent (e.g., A levels, vocational qualifications)
* 12 months relevant policing experience or 4+ years military service as alternative qualifications
Medical and Fitness
Must be able to run the bleep test to a level of 5.4.
Residency and Nationality
UK residency for the last three years. Must be a British, Irish, or EEA national, or have no restrictions on your right to work in the UK.
