We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Alterations Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in garment alterations and tailoring for men's suits, tapering, let out, shortening sleeves, rousers, waiste, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering high-quality results.
You will also be able to do women wear.
This role involves working closely with clients to understand their specific alteration needs and ensuring that garments fit perfectly.
Responsibilities- Assess garments for necessary alterations, including adjustments to hems, seams, and fittings.- Execute alterations with precision, utilising various sewing techniques and equipment.- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their preferences and provide expert advice on alterations.- Maintain an organised workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are readily available.- Keep accurate records of alterations performed and manage timelines for completion.- Provide exceptional customer service, fostering positive relationships with clients.- Stay updated on current fashion trends and alteration techniques to enhance service offerings.
Experience- Proven experience in garment alterations or tailoring is essential.- Proficiency in using sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques.- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure.- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients.- A creative mindset with the ability to suggest modifications that enhance garment fit and style.- Previous experience in a retail or customer-facing environment is advantageous but not mandatory.
