Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and student‑focused Careers & Employment Adviser to support Lancaster students to develop their skills, confidence and career readiness. Working within our Careers and Employability service, you will contribute directly to enhancing graduate outcomes across the University.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the strategic development and delivery of the Lancaster Award, our flagship employability programme engaging over 500 students each year.
* Provide personalised careers information and advice, deliver engaging workshops and presentations.
* Support fast‑paced drop‑in services that meet the immediate needs of our students.
* Collaborate with colleagues across the University to evaluate and develop our employability provision and contribute insights that shape service innovation.
* Ensure students have access to high‑quality activities, resources and opportunities.
* Build positive relationships with employers, alumni and professional bodies to raise Lancaster’s profile and expand opportunities for our students and graduates.
Candidate Profile
This role would suit an excellent communicator with strong organisational skills, a passion for student development and a proactive, collaborative approach. The successful candidate will be confident working with data to inform decision‑making and comfortable engaging with a wide range of stakeholders.
