Involve Recruitment are working with a well-established regional contractor delivering a mix of commercial and residential projects across Cardiff and South Wales. With a healthy pipeline of work, they’re now looking to appoint an experienced Design Manager to support projects from pre-construction through to delivery on site. Key responsibilities include: * Managing the design process from tender through to completion * Coordinating consultants, architects and engineers * Reviewing and managing design information, drawings and specifications * Ensuring designs are cost-effective, compliant and buildable * Supporting the construction teams with technical queries and design changes * Managing RFIs, design risk, value engineering and change control * Working closely with Project Managers, Commercial teams and site teams About You * Previous experience as a Design Manager or Design Coordinator with a contractor or developer * Background in commercial and/or residential construction * Strong understanding of the construction process and design interfaces * Confident managing external consultants and internal stakeholders * Organised, proactive and comfortable working across multiple projects * Relevant construction or design qualification (preferred) What’s on Offer * Opportunity to join a stable, growing contractor with a strong regional reputation * Competitive salary with car or allowance, pension and benefits * Supportive, collaborative working environment * Long-term role with progression as the business continues to grow
