Amazon Web Services India Private Limited (AWS India) is seeking a Tax Manager, based in Delhi NCR, to focus primarily on India taxes.
AWS offers a complete set of infrastructure and application services to run all aspects of a business in the Cloud. The Tax Manager will work closely with AWS business teams and other Tax team members to support current and future AWS service offerings, expansion plans, restructurings, audits, and day-to-day questions.
Key job responsibilities
1. Build relationships with business teams in order to understand their goals and advise them.
2. Research on India tax issues (primarily direct tax).
3. Prepare detailed written tax guidance.
4. Review, analyze, and advise upon state tax law changes affecting AWS.
5. Understand billing and reporting systems to advise on necessary changes due to changing tax laws and business operations.
6. Assist with developing and evaluating planning opportunities.
7. Facilitate tax department projects.
Basic qualifications
* Minimum of 5 years of India tax experience (emphasis on India direct tax) with a public accounting firm, law firm, or large corporation.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level.
* 4+ years of tax, finance, or a related analytical field experience.
* Experience working in a large public accounting firm or multi-national corporate tax department.
