Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled GRP Laminator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in fabrication, assembly, and the use of hand and power tools. This role involves working with hand lay GRP on easy bench work to create high-quality components for various applications. The successful applicant will be detail-oriented, capable of following technical specifications, and committed to maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
Duties
* Prepare and assemble materials for GRP lamination processes.
* Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to shape and finish components.
* Follow detailed technical drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy in fabrication.
* Conduct quality checks on finished products to meet industry standards.
* Assist in the maintenance of equipment and tools used in the laminating process.
* Collaborate with team members to optimise production efficiency and safety practices.
* Engage in construction painting as required for finishing products.
* Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency.
Qualifications
* Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in a similar role preferred.
* Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment is essential.
* Strong understanding of basic mathematics for measurements and calculations.
* Previous warehouse experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
* Familiarity with assembly processes related to GRP or similar materials is beneficial.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
