Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only. UK applicants only. This role does not offer sponsorship. As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for an SEN Teacher to join our close-knit team at The Holden School, part of Acorn Education. You will be proactive, resilient, and committed to striving for excellence, putting our students first in every aspect of school life. Our ideal candidate will understand the relational and therapeutic approach we take in supporting our students, always remaining professionally curious and recognizing that behaviour is communication. You will also understand the need for our students to learn practically with manipulatives, taking the time to build students’ confidence in Maths.
Responsibilities
* Act as an SEN Teacher with Mathematics specialism, delivering a high-quality curriculum and supporting pupils with a range of needs.
* Be proactive, resilient and focused on excellence, placing students at the centre of school life.
* Apply a relational and therapeutic approach to support pupils, including understanding behaviour as communication.
* Utilise practical learning with manipulatives to build confidence in Maths.
* Collaborate with Class Teams, Pastoral Team and Therapists to support personalised learning plans.
* Contribute to strengthening the bespoke Mathematics curriculum and, where appropriate, take on lead responsibilities in subject areas.
Qualifications
* QTS
* Degree in relevant subject
* UK QTS or equivalent
