Job Description
Responsibilities:
1. Accountable for the quality and integrity of project plans and schedule analysis in terms of time, cost and resources.
2. Compile reports to ensure project managers and teams have up-to-date and accurate information.
3. Verify the maintenance and accuracy of project plans, ensuring they reflect project objectives, are updated promptly, and communicated effectively.
4. Track project performance to ensure data accuracy on a weekly and monthly basis.
5. Work with cross-functional teams to support the planning process.
6. Manage and communicate issues to relevant stakeholders.
7. Effective resource planning, determining project requirements, and proactively managing resourcing issues and conflicts.
8. Implement and review project control processes regularly.
9. Apply and report on Earned Value Management (EVM) & Critical Path Analysis (CPA).
10. Understand and maintain Risk and Opportunity management.
11. Implement best practice tools and processes to improve planning.
12. Support bids and proposal planning.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. Preferably degree qualified or with a suitable relevant qualification (APM certification).
2. Full understanding and experience of the APM Body of Knowledge.
3. Preferably a full member of the APM.
4. Proven experience in project planning, ideally within aerospace and defence industries.
5. Understanding of Planning structures and principles (WBS, PBS – Product Breakdown Structure).
6. Advanced IT skills, proficient in MSP and Primavera P6.
7. Experience with Lifecycle Management (LCM).
8. Proven track record in EVM, CPA, and QSRA.
9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
11. Ability to work effectively in a team and lead cross-functional collaborations.
12. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards in aerospace and defence.
13. A Bachelor Degree (or equivalent) in a related field and Agile/Scrum experience.
