Our client, a world leader in water solutions technology who are at the forefront of innovation and sustainability, offers an exciting opportunity to be part of their Supply Chain team.
As a Graduate Buyer, you will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of the procurement function, including strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiation, and procurement operations.
Ideal candidate profile:
* Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, such as supply chain management, business management, or business administration
* Experience in procurement, supply chain management, or related fields
* Proficient in Microsoft Office/Google suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Knowledge of procurement software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, e-sourcing platforms)
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Familiarity with project management methodologies
* Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Main responsibilities:
* Assist in the development and execution of sourcing strategies for various categories of goods and services
* Participate in the request for proposal (RFP) process, including the preparation of RFP documents, evaluation of supplier proposals, and supplier selection
* Support contract negotiation and management activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements
* Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers, assess market trends, and identify cost-saving opportunities
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as finance, legal, and operations, to ensure alignment and effective communication
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier performance
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline procurement processes and enhance operational efficiency
* Assist in the development and implementation of supplier performance management programs
* Attend training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance procurement knowledge and skills
