Overview
Job summary
To undertake highly specialist clinical physiotherapy assessments and treatments appropriate to Band 7 grade including work requiring particular expertise or ability. To be responsible for the delivery of neuro outpatient service in the Hastings & Rother, Eastbourne, Hailsham & Seaford and High Weald and Lewes Havens area, and ensure the management of patients along the pathways is efficient and clinically effective. This includes aquatic physiotherapy and other specialist therapeutic interventions
Main duties
To work with the Service Manager to continually review, develop and refine pathways of care, facilitating the delivery of a robust, innovative and expert service.
To take the lead in supervision, education and appraisals of B7, B6 and B5 physiotherapists, Physiotherapist Assistants and students.
To fully integrate within the wider network of therapy services, working in collaboration with other Team Leads to ensure there is consistency and assurance across the services within East Sussex.
Striving to improve all aspects of evidenced based practice and quality assurance, working with the wider MDT including but not limited to JCR, MSK, ESHT inpatients, Neurologists, MS and PD Specialist Nurses, MND Co-ordinators, Hospice Teams and Chaseley Trust through joint working, forums and audits.
To support the Physiotherapy Professional Leads with the development of professional standards associated with Physiotherapy.

* A Diploma or BSc in Physiotherapy/post grad MSc Physiotherapy
* Health Professions Council Registered
* Evidence of continued professional development to Masters level or equivalent level of knowledge and experience
* Comprehensive record of CPD

* Significant amount of experience as a Band 6 Physiotherapist or above
* Previous experience within area of speciality

* Good keyboard and IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook
