Data Centre Migration Specialist - £550 per day via Umbrella 3 month contract Eastleigh (Hybrid) SCC Flex Contract
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Centre Migration Specialist to support a major transformation and migration programme. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise across VMware, Zerto, storage replication, networking, and physical infrastructure, with hands-on experience delivering complex data centre moves. While Disaster Recovery remains a component of the role, the emphasis is firmly on technical execution, migration readiness, and infrastructure transition.
Key Responsibilities as Data Centre Migration Specialist:
1. Lead technical planning and delivery of data centre closure, relocation, and consolidation activities.
2. Execute migration strategies covering network reconfiguration, IP schema updates, VLAN/routing changes, and dependency coordination.
3. Produce detailed migration runbooks and technical playbooks aligned across application, network, and infrastructure teams.
4. Assess infrastructure readiness, replication configuration, and failover capability during migration phases.
5. Manage technical stakeholders and multi vendor teams to ensure seamless execution with minimal downtime.
