Description As an Analyst/Associate, you'll be instrumental in first line of defence ESG transaction governance. Your work will ensure consistent application of sustainability-related processes across a wide range of corporate finance transactions. You'll collaborate across teams, engage with senior stakeholders, and contribute to the institution's net zero and sustainable finance objectives. There is a language requirement for this role, Japanese language at business level proficiency is required. Lead sustainability reviews for complex transactions, offering expert judgment and guidance. Advise Front Office teams on ESG frameworks, due diligence, and sustainability processes. Coordinate with regional and global stakeholders to align sustainability governance practices. Enhance frameworks for net zero alignment and sustainable finance labelling. Mentor junior team members and represent the team in working groups and forums. Monitor emerging ESG trends and regulations to improve internal practices. Drive continuous improvement of governance tools and internal processes. Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders and senior management. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of sustainability regulations and best practices. Coordinate with external partners and organisations to advance sustainability objectives. Assist in developing frameworks for measuring the impact of sustainability initiatives.
