We're looking for an enthusiastic and bubbly Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant, inclusive school community, where every day brings new adventures, breakthroughs, and those magical moments that make this job incredible.
Our Teaching Assistants are vital in ensuring each student reaches their full potential by developing positive relationships, understanding their likes, dislikes, and interests to personalise lessons. We have full and part-time positions available.

The role
Working at Portfield School is rewarding, with no two days the same—whether swimming, playing sports outdoors, celebrating a maths breakthrough, or witnessing a student's first conversation! Being part of these milestones is truly special.
This role may be physically and emotionally demanding at times, but you will receive ongoing support from your team, line manager, leadership team, mental health first aiders, and our Employee Assistance programme. Additionally, you will undergo a 12-week training programme to set you up for success.
To be successful as a Teaching Assistant, you should:
* Adapt easily to different situations
* Have a fun and supportive nature
* Enjoy playing and getting messy
* Remain calm under pressure
* Support with personal care, including nappies and toilet training
* Participate in activities and exercises as required
* Use your initiative where needed
