Blue Arrow is recruiting on behalf of a prestigious hospitality client for an experienced Bar Supervisor to join their Food & Beverage team. This role will be based across an established restaurant and an exciting new bar opening soon in Carnoustie town centre.
This is a permanent, full-time position, working 40 hours per week on a rota basis, Monday to Sunday. Evening and weekend work will be required.
The Role
As Bar Supervisor, you will support the Food & Beverage Management Team in the smooth day-to-day operation of both venues. You will lead the front-of-house team, ensure excellent service standards are maintained, and help create a vibrant and welcoming experience for all guests.
This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys leading by example and working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily bar and front-of-house operations across both sites
Lead, motivate and support the team, including rotas and on-shift duties
Deliver excellent customer service and handle guest feedback professionally
Manage stock ordering, tills and cash handling procedures
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, safety and service
Support training and development of team members
Assist with opening and closing procedures, ensuring security standards are met
The Ideal Candidate
Proven supervisory experience within a bar or restaurant environment
Strong leadership and communication skills
A customer-focused, proactive and professional approach
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
A positive team player with a hands-on attitude
