Niyaa people are working with a well-respected contractor who are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their Bristol office. This contract is a high-rise residential refurbishment on the commercial side.
Role: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Bristol
Contract: Temporary or Permanent
Salary: £350-£400 per day or £65,000-£80,000
Key duties of the Quantity Surveyor:
* Assist in the preparation of initial budgets and cost plans.
* Assisting with submitting timely requests for payment.
* Monitoring and reporting project progress.
* Assisting with internal cost reporting.
* Supply Chain management including sending enquiry documentation.
* Supply Chain Payment assessment.
* Monitor actual cost against targets.
Skills needed for the Quantity Surveyor:
* Good IT skills, including MS Suite of programmes Excel, Project, Outlook.
* Ability to write and prepare contract documentation with a high degree of accuracy.
* Ability to work to deadlines.
* A self-starter able to work on own initiative and make an immediate impact.
Qualifications needed for the Quantity Surveyor role:
* HNC, HND or Degree qualified in a Quantity Surveying / Cost Management, Construction Law, or similar relevant discipline.
* Relevant experience in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management
