The Trainee HR Advisorrole is a great opportunity at Morrison Energy Services for a proactive individual who wishes to kickstart their HR Career in a fast-paced business environment and developing industry. The role will support and assist all generalist HR activity for our Electricity Transmission framework. The ideal candidate will be keen to develop a sound knowledge and understanding of Employee Relations (ER) Case Management, supporting the Senior HR Business Partner with relevant administrative and business-as-usual tasks, to ensure operational efficiency. The Trainee HR AdvisorKey roles and responsibilities are: Provision of HR generalist advice and guidance to managers, under the supervision of the Senior HR Business Partner Creation, development and monitoring of HR policies and procedures Supporting National & International recruitment activity Supporting the Learning & Development agenda Management reporting, where required Manage the HR inbox to ensure prompt and professional responses to all stakeholders; making sound judgements with regards email responses, triaging to the relevant parties where necessary Support the Senior HR Business Partner with all ER-related activity, including taking minutes, shadowing, and supporting meetings as HR Representative, as required Lead on the induction of new starters into the business, delivering HR inductions face to face where required, ensuring that on-boarding is carried out effectively Support with audit checking as per contract/client requirements Provide support to business stakeholders as and when required, including the resourcing and learning & development teams Demonstrate the ability to communicate in writing and verbally with individuals Provide administrative support to the Senior HR Business Partner, with regards all HR-related activity Run reports to respond to business requests and to create people metric reports when required Support the business with monitoring absence (long and short-term) across the ET framework Work with our central People Services team to ensure all transactional HR activities are executed in a timely manner Support the starters and leavers process, specifically in relation to tracking reasons for leaving and trends Other people related activities as required to meet the needs of the business Live and consistently demonstrate the behaviours that underpin our values Ability to travel to meet the needs of the business Skills and Qualifications: Essential: A 2:2 degree or above in either a Human Resources or Legal discipline Associate CIPD member Level 5 or above ( or working towards ) Excellent interpersonal skills (verbal and written) IT skills work processing, email, internet, PowerPoint Problem solving skills, pragmatic and risk-averse approach to working with managers Influencing, negotiation and persuasion skills Desirable: Mentorship or Coaching qualification Level 7 CIPD qualification/Chartered CIPD status (or working towards) Whats in it for you? 25 days' annual leave plus 8 days' bank holiday Competitive Pension scheme Life Assurance Cycle to work scheme Access to the Employee Assistance Programme Who doesnt like a discount?
