Salary: £60,000 (flex) + meaningful equity

Here at Burns Sheehan we are working exclusively with one of the most exciting tech start-ups in the UK, who are looking for an Application Support Engineer to join their high-performing team. You’ll play a critical role in supporting internal users, spotting patterns before they become issues, and improving how technical support is delivered across the business. With a focus on product insight, systems understanding, and proactive support this is an ideal opportunity for someone technically curious who loves solving puzzles, thrives in a fast-paced start-up environment, and wants to grow with a company scaling into new markets.
Responsibilities:
* Acting as the first point of contact for platform bugs, client issues and working closely with teams to troubleshoot any issues.
* Creating clear, actionable bug reports, maintaining internal runbooks, knowledge bases, and FAQ docs for scalable self-service
* Assisting in pre-release QA: running exploratory tests and identifying edge cases
* Helping shape and evolve the support tooling, processes, and metrics as the company scales
What We're Looking For:
* 2+ years in application support, QA, product ops, or similar cross-functional technical roles
* Working knowledge of SQL, APIs, terminal tools, logs, and basic scripting
* Comfortable using or supporting admin UIs/internal tooling and familiarity of how web apps work
* Strong communicator, problem solver and a curious mindset
