Summary
The Senior Commercial Broker role will be based out of the Colchester office. The role involves delivering New Business quotations through various methods, including client-facing interactions, phone calls, and emails, to help exceed sales targets. If you excel in customer service and lead generation, this could be the perfect role for you. Success in this role requires good judgment, attention to detail, ambition, and the ability to use your initiative when needed.
Your role
1. Calculate New Business premiums aligned with the specific carrier’s risk appetite and guidelines, or consult with insurers for non-delegated authority business.
2. Deliver outstanding customer service, meeting client requirements professionally and effectively for New Business.
3. Provide solutions to the company and identify areas for improvement to reduce costs.
4. Understand processes and procedures to provide accurate quotations, meeting client demands and needs.
5. Handle queries via email, telephone, and in person, ensuring all SLAs are adhered to.
6. Handle complaints in line with company policies and procedures.

6. Have knowledge of the insurance industry.

8. Hold a valid driver’s license (mileage will be compensated).
Qualifications & Experience
1. Minimum of 3 years experience in a broking or underwriting environment.
2. GCSE level education or equivalent is advantageous.
3. Cert CII qualification is not essential but considered a plus.
