The Role
As a Permanent SEN Teacher, you will:

Plan, prepare, and deliver high:quality, differentiated Science lessons tailored to the specific learning needs of a small class group.

Develop and implement effective Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and track pupil progress rigorously against personalised targets.
*
Utilise your expertise in behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive, safe, and engaging classroom environment where all pupils can achieve.
*
Work closely with a dedicated team of Teaching Assistants and support staff, directing their work effectively to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
*
Collaborate with external agencies, parents/carers, and the wider multidisciplinary team (e.g., therapists, social workers) to provide holistic support.
*
Contribute to the ongoing development of the curriculum and the overall school ethos.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a candidate who is:

A qualified Science teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
*
Demonstrably experienced in teaching pupils with SEN, particularly SEMH and Autism needs (essential).
*
Highly skilled at adapting the curriculum to meet diverse learning styles and abilities.
*
Resilient, reflective, and committed to continuous professional development.
*
Proactive and skilled in positive behaviour management and de:escalation.

Able to build strong, trusting, and professional relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
