The Opportunity

We are working with a well-established, chartered accountancy firm in Southampton that is looking to expand its Audit team. The Role
As Audit Senior, you'll take ownership of audit assignments from planning through to completion, working closely with clients and supervising junior team members. You'll be a key point of contact for clients, ensuring high-quality service delivery and compliance across every stage of the audit process.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading audits from planning to completion for a diverse portfolio of clients
* Supervising and mentoring junior audit staff on-site and in the office
* Preparing statutory accounts in accordance with UK GAAP and FRS 102
* Identifying and resolving audit issues, and communicating findings clearly
* Building strong client relationships, offering support and advice as needed
* Working closely with managers and partners to ensure timely delivery
* Staying up to date with regulatory and technical changes in audit and accountancy
About You
* ACA or ACCA qualified (or finalist with strong experience)
* Proven audit experience within an accountancy practice
* Confident leading audits and managing client relationships
* Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and FRS 102
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* A proactive, team-focused approach with a commitment to high standards
