The Borgen Project believes that leaders of the most powerful nations on earth should be doing more to address global poverty. The national campaign is working to make poverty a focus of U.S. and U.K. foreign policy.

The Borgen Project is an international organization that works at the political level to improve living conditions for people impacted by war, famine, and poverty. With 20 years of experience in advocacy, it has supported the passage of numerous bills benefiting close to 500 million people in developing countries.
Writer/Journalist Programme
This role focuses on content creation for BORGEN Magazine or The Borgen Project Blog. It is a part-time, unpaid, remote programme of 12 hours per week for 12 weeks. If your availability is limited, you can work ahead and complete the programme in fewer weeks.
Responsibilities include:
1. Article writing
2. Researching topics
3. Assisting with advocacy efforts
4. Fundraising, including creating a personal campaign and meeting targets
Experience
No prior experience is necessary. We seek individuals passionate about fighting poverty and advocating for change, regardless of background or GPA.

This is an unpaid programme, although college credit is available.
Start Date
New programmes begin every month; you may choose your start month.
