We are working with a well-established UK manufacturer who is looking to appoint a proactive and detail-driven Technical Manager to support their Quality, Technical and Compliance functions.
This role would suit someone with experience in food, supplements, pharmaceuticals or FMCG manufacturing. You will play a key part in supporting site standards, maintaining quality systems, and assisting with regulatory and operational processes that help ensure consistent, compliant production.
Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance
Maintain awareness of food safety regulations (HACCP Level 2).
Maintain awareness of allergen requirements (FSA training).
Quality Management Systems (QMS) & Compliance
Review and verify Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs) in real time to ensure accuracy and job closure.
Record, investigate, and document customer complaints and internal non-conformances.
Develop Work Instructions (WIs) for key equipment and processes.
Train operators on Work Instructions and best practices.
Site Technical Support
Develop an understanding of key manufacturing, packing and laboratory equipment.
Support and advise on in-process checks for powders, tablets and capsules.
Raw Materials
Review, approve, and manage retest requirements for raw materials.
Maintain and update the Analysis Log.
Testing & Hygiene Monitoring
Conduct water quality and Legionella testing in line with scheduled requirements.
Carry out routine hygiene swabbing and record results.
Complete and document monthly hygiene walk-round checks.
Customer Support
Respond to day-to-day customer technical queries and provide accurate, timely information.
