About the opportunity
As a Trainee Dispenser working within one of our stores, you will be a key member of our pharmacy team as you support the pharmacist and other healthcare professionals in your store to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy and healthcare services. While you complete your Dispenser training (NVQ2) in the store’s healthcare department, you will build relationships with patients by listening and understanding their needs. From greeting customers and dispensing prescriptions to ensuring the safe sale of medicines, you’ll provide advice using your healthcare knowledge to help patients make informed decisions about their health and wellness.
This role requires working in-store in the UK. Applicants outside the UK will not be progressed unless relevant UK qualifications and right to work can be confirmed.

* Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to support the safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions
* Keep up to date with new innovations in-store and comply with operational processes
* Support patients to manage their prescriptions in their way with reliable repeats and help manage medicines to promote adherence and reduce waste
Working with evolving technologies in-store, you will have the opportunity to work with new systems that help develop traditional dispensing processes to improve patient safety and free up time to spend with patients. Regular updates and training will develop your healthcare knowledge, with career development options including the opportunity to train as a Pharmacy Technician or as part of the store leadership team.
