* Create and implement technical solutions for a domain or across domains/portfolios within a specific technology area.
* Produce comprehensive documentation for complex solutions.
* Apply excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills at a low level.
* Maintain detailed understanding of voice core networks and a broader knowledge of mobile and BT core networks and services.
* Utilize analytical thinking to interpret data, network statistics, and financial details.
The skill you'll need
* Expertise in IMS technologies and related voice services, including VoLTE, VoWiFi, Interconnect, Fixed, and 5G.
* Extensive experience in designing within the IMS Voice Services domain.
* Strong knowledge of telecom voice solutions based on virtualized technologies like VMware and COTS.
* Experience with telecom voice solutions utilizing cloud technologies, including containerization, Kubernetes, Linux, and OpenStack.
* Practical knowledge of protocols such as SIP, HTTP, Diameter, DNS, BICC, ISUP, CAP, and INAP.
* Hands-on experience with subscriber provisioning systems.
* Proficiency in telecom platform and software security.
* Ability to make decisions in ambiguous situations with incomplete information or conflicting opinions.
* Proven experience in mobile voice network design roles.
* Excellent communication skills to explain technical details to varied audiences, including Directors.
* Ability to collaborate with multiple teams and vendors to enhance network features.
* Strong relationship-building skills within and outside BT.
