Job Title: Childrens MASH Business Support Officer

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and highly organised Business Operational Support Officer (BOS Officer) to join our Children and Family Services. This is a vital role that ensures our social workers and frontline staff are fully supported to help keep children and families safe.
You will provide high-quality, comprehensive business support across all areas of the Children and Family Service, including the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH), Children in Need, Child Protection, Looked After Children, Leaving Care and the Youth Justice Service.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide efficient and professional business support to frontline teams across Children and Family Services
* Minute-taking: Attend various key meetings and panels, take accurate and detailed minutes, and ensure a swift turnaround of meeting notes. Strong minute-taking skills and the ability to work quickly are essential.
* Support key statutory meetings and panels, including preparation, minute-taking and post-meeting actions
* Act as the first point of contact for service users, responding professionally in person, by telephone and via email
* Work collaboratively with social workers, team managers, service managers and Heads of Service to ensure services run smoothly and effectively
* Champion the children’s database Liquid Logic, developing strong system knowledge and supporting frontline staff to maintain accurate and timely records
* Proactively identify opportunities to improve systems and processes, contributing to change management and continuous improvement
* Work closely with partner agencies, including health services and the police, and with internal council departments to deliver excellent customer service
About You
You will be customer-focused, professional and confident in a busy, front-facing environment. You will have strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities. Experience of providing administrative or business support within a social care or public-sector setting would be advantageous.
You will also demonstrate:
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong IT skills and confidence in learning new systems (experience of Liquid Logic is desirable but not essential)
* The ability to work collaboratively and build positive working relationships
