Associate Civil Engineer - Highways/Infrastructure

£60,000 – £70,000 + Bonus
Alfred Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a leading UK independent multi-disciplinary engineering and built environment consultancy to appoint an Associate Infrastructure Engineer to their Birmingham team.
This is a key hire within a growing civil engineering division, offering the opportunity to take on project leadership, client responsibility, and team development within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
The Role
As an Associate, you will play a central role in both project delivery and team leadership, working closely with senior leadership while managing your own portfolio of work.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading the delivery of residential infrastructure projects from feasibility through to construction
* Managing project programmes, resources, and commercial performance
* Overseeing the production of planning and technical submissions (S38, S278, S104)
* Undertaking site feasibility and due diligence assessments
* Acting as a key client contact, building and maintaining strong relationships
* Mentoring and developing junior engineers
* Supporting wider business development and team growth
About You
* Proven experience at Senior / Associate level within civil/infrastructure engineering
* Strong technical knowledge of UK drainage, highways, and flood risk design
* Proficient in AutoCAD, Flow, Causeway PDS (or similar)
* Demonstrable experience in project leadership and client-facing roles
* Experience managing or mentoring teams
* Commercial awareness and a proactive approach
