Job Description
3. Responsible for preparing month‑end close activities and producing Management Information reports for review by the Financial Controller.
4. Conducted detailed cost and profitability analysis for key projects and any highlighted areas requiring investigation.
5. Completed quarterly royalty reporting packs for approval.
6. Performed monthly reviews of consignment stock levels and prepared summary reports for Directors and Account Managers.
7. Delivered month‑end reporting for major customer groups and other significant accounts.
8. Overseeing both accounts payable and receivable functions, including the administration and upkeep of supplier and customer accounts.
9. Preparing monthly accruals and prepayments to support accurate financial reporting.
10. Posting and reconciling all company credit card activity.
11. Completing monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure financial integrity.
12. Handling confidential documentation and providing support to the Assistant Management Accountant when required.
13. Assisting in the credit control cycle by monitoring aged debt, highlighting concerns, and managing key customer accounts directly.
14. Providing full cover for the Assistant Management Accountant during periods of absence.
15. Carrying out a range of additional tasks to support smooth day‑to‑day financial operations
The Successful Applicant
A successful Interim Management Accountant should have:
16. A professional qualification or studying towards (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or ACA).
17. Experience in management accounting within the retail industry.
18. Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
19. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
20. Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in reporting.
