This is a great opportunity for an experienced Planning Officer to join an expanding in-house Planning team. This team supports a diverse portfolio of major capital and infrastructure projects.
As a Planning Officer you will be working on a variety of large-scale programmes, ensuring the effective use of permitted development rights and securing planning consents in line with Town and Country Planning legislation.
Key responsibilities include:
* Deliver planning consents for capital and infrastructure projects
* Identify and maximise permitted development opportunities
* Advise project teams on planning and regulatory requirements
* Develop planning and consultation strategies for projects
* Work closely with communications teams on stakeholder engagement and consultation
* Build strong relationships with local planning authorities and key stakeholders
Skills and experience:
* Strong understanding of UK planning legislation
* Excellent Communication skills
* The ability to manage staff and consultancies
* Stakeholder management experience
* Knowledge of environmental initiatives such as biodiversity net gain
* Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills
