Are you a Manufacturing Engineer with experience of working in the Aerospace industry?

You will ensure the delivery of Manufacturing activities in support of the Business whilst complying with procedures in order to programme manage and execute manufacturing engineering tasks.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING AS MANUFACTURING ENGINEER
Your main activities will include, but not be limited to:
1. Produce work instructions, Bills of material (BOM).
2. Creation of Technical Specifications for Delivery (TSD).
3. Creation of manufacturing routings, process sketches and stage drawings to support the manufacturing process.
4. Identify accurate specifications for material requirements.
5. Process design changes and introduce into current manufacturing or assembly process.
6. Identification and requesting of tooling, fixtures and gauges required to support manufacturing process.
7. Amend work instructions in operational areas to rectify errors and keep the manufacturing on schedule.
8. Must be able to represent Manufacturing Engineering in a shop floor role (subject to experience)
9. Knowledge of manufacturing and/or assembly and/or machining processes.
10. Conduct non-conformance investigations and problem solving techniques.
11. Take an active role in Business improvement and, as necessary carry out improvement activities.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
12. Educated to at least ONC, preferably HNC or equivalent in an Engineering discipline and/or a time served apprenticeship.
13. Team working with good communicating with influencing skills.
14. Good understanding and experience of machining, Heat treatment, Grinding process and protective treatment techniques.
15. A sound understanding of manufacturing technology.
16. Experience in working with CATIA (V5), ENOVIA and Smarteam or similar Modelling system
17. A working knowledge of SAP (4HANA) is desirable but not essential.
18. Understand the principles of Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
19. Familiar with the use of Microsoft software packages, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
20. Project management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
21. Familiar with an Engineering change and documentation process.
22. A practical and logical approach to problem solving.
23. Engineering background from an Aerospace or high integrity manufacturing environment.
24. An awareness of Health and Safety.
