We are looking for a talented individual to lead our Waste & Recycling, Corporate Assets and Clean & Green teams and support the management of the Council ’s fleet.
This role is based at the Council 's Depot but will regularly work from the Council 's head office across the road in the beautiful Brocks Hill Country Park in Oadby. This part of Leicestershire is a great place to live, work and visit. The Neighbourhood Services team are responsible for the delivery of Waste collection services, the management of the Councils Assets, Parks & Open spaces alongside keeping the fleet operational & the cleanliness of the street scene.
You will need to balance community expectations, against local authority budget constraints and lead a workforce to offer the best possible services. With a proven track record of offering services within set budgets and experience in managing numerous teams, you will be supported and empowered to lead on improvements & efficiencies that support the Councils vision & respective strategies for Neighbourhood Services.
If you have a certificate in professional competence in transport management and a certificate in technical competence (COTC) or are willing to undertake this training and work towards this qualification as well as significant relevant experience we would love to hear from you. The successful candidate will also have excellent communication skills, be able to manage budgets and have excellent people management skills we would love to hear from you.
